2017 Women's Outdoor Skills Event
The Missouri Department of Conservation, in partnership with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Missouri State Highway Patrol, and Whitetails Unlimited are holding a Women’s event at Mark Twain Lake.  The Discover Nature — Women Outdoor Skills Workshop provides a safe and friendly environment where women experience hands-on outdoor skills training at the beginner level.
The event will be held on Saturday June 3rd at the Mark Twain Lake MW Boudreaux Memorial Visitor Center, followed by more activities at Mark Twain Lake State Park Tom Sawyer Lake area on Sunday June 4th.
Saturdays activities include Archery, Shotgun Shooting, Rifle Shooting, Dutch Oven Cooking, Fishing, and Nature Craft. Sundays activities include Geocaching, Kayaking, Safe boat Operation on the Lake.
This workshop is for women 18 years old and older. Girls aged 14–17 also are welcome when accompanied by an adult woman.
