Calling all Scouts, Girl Scouts, and nature lovers! Come to the Forest Park Hatchery for our Scout Event & Family Fun Day. Learn vital outdoor skills, connect with nature, and flex your creative muscles at this fun event to earn credit towards nature-related badges. Not a Scout? Not a problem. Everyone is welcome to attend this event. Activities include fishing, knot tying, birding, and much more! Scout troops must provide their own merit badge counselors for this event. MDC is providing activities that may be applied towards badges, but we are not authorized to sign off on badges. All activities will be outside, so dress according to the weather. Participants may want to bring a refillable water bottle and wear sturdy shoes. Registration is required for this event. Please individually register everyone who will be attending. In case of inclement weather, participants will be notified of a make-up date in the fall of 2023. Shelly Colatskie
Location Information

Originally established in 1879, the Forest Park Hatchery was the first fish culture activity in Missouri. Today this fish hatchery is no longer operated for fish farming but rather for educational programming.

Age Policy:

All registrants for this event must be between 0 and 100 years of age by 7/15/2023.
