Discover nature in winter! Just because the temperatures have dropped, doesn’t mean you have to stay inside. This year’s festival will be by registration. Groups will be guided through 20-minute stations to learn the maple sugaring process, winter birdwatching, and how animals weather winter. The entire program is outdoors, so please dress for the weather. We’ll provide warming fires, pancakes and syrup samples, and hot chocolate. Please park at the Visitor Center to check in, and we’ll guide you to the Cottonwood Picnic area where the program will take place. Be prepared to walk a total of 1-mile round trip. A portion of the trail is not stroller/wheelchair accessible. Please register each person attending. MDC asks all participants to observe current local social distancing and masking guidelines. Bringing and wearing face coverings is encouraged when appropriate. Amy Wilkinson
