White-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus) are an important resource within Missouri's natural communities, and management practices can be implemented to maintain a healthy population on the landscape. The Deer Management Assistance Program (DMAP) enables landowners to achieve local deer management goals through additional antlerless deer harvest opportunities. A variety of habitat management practices can be implemented within woodlands, grasslands, and croplands to improve available habitat. Ashleigh McCullough
