Basic Archery for Youth and Adults If you have an interest in learning how to shoot a bow and arrow, but don’t know where to begin --- or maybe you’ve shot a bow once, but never pursued the activity any further --- this may be the class you’re looking for. Learn the basics of shooting the bow and arrow utilizing some of the techniques and methods that have been adopted by the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP). This course is for youth and adults alike, ages 10 years old and older, with the desire to shoot a bow and arrow, but have little or no experience. Learn archery shooting fundamentals while gaining knowledge about equipment options and choices. Note: All equipment will be provided by the Missouri Department of Conservation. Not recommended if you have shoulder or back injuries. . • Thursday September 23, 2021 • 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. • Shaw Nature Reserve -- Freund Center Parking Lot -- 300 Freund Ln --- Pacific, MO 63069 • No fee required. Class is free Participants will be emailed more specific directions prior to the course. Dress for the weather and time of year. Entire course will be outdoors. Class will be cancelled in the event of rain. If original class is cancelled, the make up rain date is Friday Sept. 24th at the same time. Please provide a good phone number to call in case of cancellation and rescheduling. Please note the following COVID-19 related procedures. • Bows and arrows will be disinfected before use. Hand sanitizer will be available and will be required at the beginning of class prior to handling equipment. • Masks should be worn by instructors and participants if social distancing cannot be maintained. Masks are not required during proper social distancing. Please ensure 6 feet of social distance always. a. If you answer yes to any of the following self-certification questions, you should not attend. 1. Do you, or a person you live with, have: a. A temperature of 100.4°F or higher, OR b. Two or more of the following: chills, new loss of taste or smell, or unexplained body aches, headache, or sore throat, OR c. One or more of the following: dry, non-productive cough (new onset or worsening of chronic cough), shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing? 2. If you have traveled outside of Missouri, did you have contact with anyone known to have COVID-19 or visit an area with high incident of COVID-19? 3.
