Catfish Clinic (Please fill out one form per person in your party)
Come spend a day at the river with the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC). MDC Staff and volunteers will be instructing participants on the basics of setline fishing on Missouri’s rivers and lakes.  The Program will begin at 8am with a hands on tutorial of how to safely set trot-lines and bank poles, properly label equipment, and handle and release fish. These tactics can be used in streams and some lakes of Missouri, both big and small. Following the river outing, participants will attend a seminar on fisheries management, with information on the recent catfish survey led by an MDC Fisheries Management biologist. This seminar will also include a presentation on river fishing regulations led by a Conservation Agent, along with a how-to presentation on using gear and equipment. There is no fee for this event, but space is limited. To sign up participants must apply by August 1st. For those participants with a long travel camping is allowed in designated areas, and sites are on a first come first serve basis.
